How to collect and securely configure seller API credentials without exposing secrets.
Keep credentials secure
- Create credentials in the official seller/developer portal.
- Use the minimum required scopes.
- Never paste secrets on public pages or screenshots.
- Save them only in Marketplace Connections, where they are encrypted.
- Run Test Connection before enabling sync.
Connection status
- Authorization Required means credentials are saved but not verified.
- Connected appears only after a successful API call.
- API Access Pending means seller or partner approval is still required.
